About MorrieI first saw Morrie at Jean and David Hoares when he was 4 weeks old and asked if I could come back and see him when he was 7 weeks.
Well I did, and Morrie came home with me. He developed into an extremely handsome blue and white dog with an engaging personality. He gained his title easily and then retired from the show ring to do the things that he liked to do - chase and catch water droplets and snowflakes and suck fluffy toys to death.
He has gained the title of top stud dog a few times and he thanks his beautiful children for this accolade.
We had to say good-bye to our wonderful Moriaty, and he is so missed here, not only by the humans but by many of the dogs, as he was the “Top Dog”, earning himself the name of Major Moriaty.
He could sort out all their little problems, intervened in silly arguments and allowed peace to reign, and when he left they all just fell apart, no one wanted his job, it had taken so much commitment.
We had squabbles and disagreements, the like we had not encountered before, and it was then that we realised how grateful we should be for the years of peace he had brought about.
Thankyou so much Morrie.
For all his day time act of the big man he still retired to bed with his many teddies and soft toys and his security blanket to suck all night, what a lovely dog to live with, he gave so much love and joy.
You are always in our thoughts, love you lots. Sleep well little blue man.
